"The Chi" is an American drama television series created by Lena Waithe. The series follows a group of young people living in Chicago's South Side. The series premiered on Showtime on January 7, 2018. In this clip from the fifth episode of the first season, Kevin (Alex Hibbert) is playing basketball with his friends when he is approached by a group of older boys. The older boys demand that Kevin give them his basketball, but Kevin refuses. A fight ensues, and Kevin is badly beaten. The clip ends with Kevin lying on the ground, unconscious.
