In the third episode of the Fox series "The Gifted," titled "eXposed," Reed Strucker (Stephen Moyer) confronts a mutant in a dark alley. The mutant, whose identity remains unknown, is being hunted by the government and the Sentinel Services, a paramilitary organization tasked with rounding up mutants. Reed, a prosecutor who is also the father of two mutant children, has been reluctant to use his powers against the government, but he is forced to reconsider his position when he learns that his children are in danger.
