The Good Doctor is an American medical drama television series based on the 2013 South Korean series of the same name. It premiered on ABC on September 25, 2017. The series follows Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), a young autistic savant surgical resident at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. In this preview for the fourth episode of the first season, Shaun and the team face a difficult moral dilemma when a patient's parents refuse to allow surgery that could save his life.
