Empire 4.03 (Preview) is the third episode of the fourth season of the American musical drama television series Empire. It was written by Joshua Allen and directed by Mario Van Peebles. The episode aired on Fox on October 11, 2017.
In the episode, Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) try to put their past behind them and move on with their lives. However, their plans are derailed when they are faced with a new threat: a rival music executive who is determined to take them down.
Meanwhile, Andre (Trai Byers) and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) continue to struggle with their own personal demons. Andre is haunted by the guilt of his past actions, while Hakeem is struggling to find his place in the music industry.
The episode also features guest appearances from Mariah Carey, Phylicia Rashad, and Taye Diggs.
