The Foreigner is an upcoming action thriller film starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. The film is directed by Martin Campbell and written by David Marconi. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Stephen Leather. The story follows a Chinese businessman (Chan) who seeks revenge on the Irish Republican Army (IRA) after his daughter is killed in a terrorist bombing. The film is scheduled to be released in September 2017.
