Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is an American television series created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, and Maurissa Tancharoen, based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division). The series follows Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and his team of agents as they investigate strange and mysterious cases. In the series' third season, the team faces new threats, including the villainous Hive (Brett Dalton) and the return of the ancient Inhumans.
