The Bastard Executioner 1.05 (Preview) is the fifth episode of the first season of the historical drama television series The Bastard Executioner. The episode was written by Kurt Sutter and directed by Paris Barclay. It premiered on FX on October 28, 2015. In the episode, Wilkin Brattle (Lee Jones) and his men continue to hunt for the escaped prisoners, while Annora (Sarah Bolger) tries to find a way to help her people. Meanwhile, Lady Love Ventris (Flora Spencer-Longhurst) and her son Toran (Leon Ockenden) plot to take control of the castle.
