As Alan continues his affair with Lyndsey, he meets up with Larry who informs him that Lyndsey broke up with him two weeks ago. Puzzled about why she is pretending to still be with Larry, Alan confronts Lyndsey and she explains that she doesn't want to be in a relationship with Alan since he was never willing to commit to her. She breaks up with him and he decides to commiserate with Larry at a strip club as both are upset over Lyndsey. Their heart to heart inspires Alan to head to her house to propose to her, but when he gets there he sees Larry has already popped the question. Meanwhile, Brooke emasculates Walden by fixing his flat tire and explaining that her manly ex-boyfriend taught her how. He tries fixing the deck to prove his masculinity but it ends up falling apart.
