The Twilight Zone Episode 2.05 Among the Untrodden

An awkward teenage girl named Irene transfers to Saint Mary's Boarding School in the middle of the school year. A clique of popular girls at the school led by a girl named Madison immediately conspire to harass and bully Irene. While working on her school science fair project, Irene becomes convinced that Madison has psychic abilities and sets out to convince her. As Madison becomes more confident in her psychic powers, she distances herself from her former friends even as Irene seems to become closer to them.

Events escalate at the school science fair where Madison's old friends have set up a project called "Anatomy of a Loser" with several displays looping video and glitching, distorted images of Irene. Irene shocks in horror and lets out a primal scream, the displays break, and Madison's old friends all drop dead on the spot. Madison confronts Irene, accusing her of having psychic powers, and of using them to control her and kill the other girls, all of which Irene denies. Madison embraces Irene, recognizing her as a friend, causing Irene's body to disintegrate into ashes now that her duty is fulfilled. Sometime later, a new girl enrolls at Saint Mary's as Madison plans to befriend her.
