The Perfect Storm: The only Friday of the year when all weekly time sheets, monthly purchase orders and quarterly expense reports fall on the same day. All Michael has to do is sign them, but he'd much rather procrastinate.

Michael decides to send Ryan - the temp - on a "top secret" mission to collect all new emergency numbers, then Michael proceeds to prank call Ryan all day with the cell number Ryan gave him.

Meanwhile, it turns out that Dwight is a purple belt in Gojuru Karate, which begins a debate in the office about who could beat up whom. Michael overhears the conversation and says there's no way Dwight could beat him up. Michael claims he's beaten up black belts before. Uncorroborated.

During the day Michael puts Dwight in a sleeper hold and then asks Jim to hit him in the stomach. When Jim refuses, Michael calls out Dwight to do the same, berating him with girly insults. "Defending his honor," Dwight hits Michael in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him.

Michael, thinking he was sucker-punched, wants to prove that Dwight couldn't beat him up, so he challenges Dwight to a fight at Dwight's Dojo. Michael gives the whole office an extra hour for lunch, just so everyone can witness the beating.

Dwight strikes first, but Michael basically beats Dwight into the ground, humiliating him in front of the whole office.

Later in the day, Michael continues to procrastinate and has a meeting with Dwight. Michael tells Dwight that he's been testing him all day and tells him he's being promoted from assistant to the regional manager to assistant regional manager.

Still not wanting to sign all the forms for the Perfect Storm, Michael finally has all the people waiting for him help forge his signature so they can get it all done before the 7:00 p.m. deadline.
