Liz and Jenna go jean shopping and Liz already feels like an outsider in a store geared towards younger shoppers. But once she tries on a pair of designer jeans that make her butt look amazing, Liz is sold. In fact, Liz buys 10 more pairs of the exact same jeans and throws out all of her old ones.

Jack is determined to oust Congresswoman Bovine from office since she doesn't support the Kabletown merger or NBC's programming choices. He decides to back her opponent from Rhode Island, Steve Austin. Turns out, Steve isn't the most sane candidate.

The Hollywood Foreign Press has contacted Tracy Jordan, making Jenna believe they are considering him for a Golden Globe nomination. She's teamed up with Tracy to help make his dream a reality by throwing a lavish party for the organization. Liz questions Jenna's motives and Jenna admits that she knows bribing the press for an award will backfire and Tracy will never be invited to the Golden Globes.

Liz still thinks Jack is crazy for trying to get someone like Steve Austin into office. She says she's tired of big business money running politics and wishes more companies were like her favorite jean manufacturer, Brooklyn Without Limits. Jack points out that Halliburton owns Brooklyn Without Limits and their jeans are made in sweatshops. Liz refuses to believe Jack's news. But she does her research and finds out Jack is right!

Jenna and Tracy host a party for the Hollywood Foreign Press and they watch a screening of Tracy's movie, "Hard to Watch." By the end of the movie everybody, including Jenna, is crying from Tracy's performance. Jenna confesses she was trying to sabotage Tracy's Golden Globe chances but the bribing can stop, because she believes he really has a chance at winning it all.

Liz realizes she has to stick to her beliefs and takes back her Halliburton jeans in favor of her "lesbian Mario Brothers" overall shorts, since she threw out all of her other jeans. This inspires Jack to encourage Steve Austin to speak on his own behalf, as opposed to Jack pulling the strings. Jack knows that once Steve gives his own speech, Congresswoman Bovine is guaranteed to win re-election.
