30 Rock Episode 4.18 Khonani

Jack realizes he can't get away with dating both Nancy and Avery for long, and has to make a decision. He tells Liz he's gotten rid of all distractions in his office so he can concentrate on which woman to choose.

Liz finds out her writing staff has been going out at night and leaving her out of the fun. Jack tells her to not take it personally, but Liz can't help it. She goes to confront Frank and the gang, but Cerie interrupts, wanting to talk to Jenna and Liz about the wedding shower they should be planning for her. Liz can't wait to plan a fun party.

Khonani the janitor informs Jack that he was promised an earlier shift at work five years ago, and Jack signed the contract agreeing to the change. Jack looks over the contract he signed on a paper towel roll and tells Khonani he's going to get him that shift change. After all, NBC doesn't go back on their word - they're "The Biggest Loser" network.

Liz has to prove to her co-workers that she knows how to party. She sets out to make Cerie's bridal shower one that everybody will be talking about. She wants Tracy to bring out his craziest antics. Tracy refuses, since he has to be on his best behavior due to his promise to a pregnant Angie.

Jack meets with Khonani and the janitor who works the earlier shift, Subbas. Subbas refuses to give up his earlier shift, despite Jack's contract with Khonani. Jack tries to get both men to compromise and move their shifts up an hour.

Later that evening, an angry Khonani tells Jack his new shift isn't helping because there's no trash to pick up. Jack wants Khonani to understand now hard it is to make a difficult decision and choose between two people. He tells Khonani he has to give Subbas back his shift. Khonani understands; he already has a new job lined up at Fox...Woods.

Liz starts off her party by introducing her karaoke machine. All of a sudden, she snaps, telling her guests she knows about their Thursday night outings without her. Liz wants them to apologize for leaving her out of the fun.

Kenneth shows up at Liz's party frantic because Tracy's big dog has followed him throughout the city. The dog begins growling at all the guests. Toofer compares Liz to the mother of TGS. It's her job to protect her children, the writers. Liz puts on her best protective gear and takes on Tracy's dog, letting the party guests slip out.
