Everybody returns to work after the New Year hiatus. Liz feels great after visiting family, Jack announces he's officially over Nancy, and Jenna tells everybody she's entering into a fake relationship with James Franco. The arrangement was by James' manager, to prove James likes the company of real-life women and to hide the truth about his relationship with his Japanese body pillow named "Kimeko."

Jack checks his cell phone and notices he did place a call to Nancy on New Year's Eve. Only Jack was so drunk out of his mind, he has no idea what he said. Cerie points out Nancy's YouFace status reads she's on vacation, meaning Jack still has time to track down the message and erase it before he "Lemons" the situation any more.

Tracy is happy to report that he got Angie pregnant during the show's hiatus. He's also ecstatic to report he knows it's going to be a girl because he yelled out "Susan B. Anthony" at the moment of conception.

Kenneth and Jack sneak into Nancy's Massachusetts home to erase Jack's drunken message before she gets home from vacation. Now they have to crack the code for her voicemail box. As Jack snoops around, he finds clues that Nancy's husband has been sleeping on the couch.

While visiting family, Liz accidentally "outed" her gay cousin, Randy. In return, Randy surprises Liz with a visit to New York and wants to stay with her. Liz objects, but when she hears Randy's story of growing up in such a conservative town, she reluctantly agrees to the arrangement. Only to find out she's more like a babysitter for the party boy.

Jack discovers Nancy is vacationing solo. He finds the voicemail code and listens to his message declaring his love for Nancy and referring to their high school German class nicknames, Klaus and Greta. Kenneth erases the message. But, back in New York, Kenneth points out that Nancy's voicemail code was, "Klaus." It's a sign and Jack leaves another message with Nancy, encouraging her to come back to New York.

After Liz chastises Randy for his newfound party lifestyle, he encourages her to lighten up and have fun. Liz thinks about Randy's advice and it finally sinks in. Who is Liz to tell Randy to avoid going out, and to tell Jenna not to get too involved with her fake relationship, when Liz herself is clueless about how to have fun?

Jenna decides to no longer be the stand-in girlfriend for James. She wants something real in her life; she wants the same relationship James has with "Kimeko." She tells James to not "Lemon" his life away, and instead, declare his love for "Kimeko" to the world.

Liz hits the club with Randy and runs into James and "Kimeko" dancing. Liz's night gets wild and she wakes up the next day to find James and his Japanese body pillow in her bed. Liz's wild night freaks Randy out and he decides it's time to return to Methsburg, Pennsylvania.
