Hamm and Osceola tied the knot in June 2023 at Anderson Canyon in Big Sur after meeting on the set of the "Mad Men" series finale in 2015. Hamm revealed that he was initially apprehensive about getting married, but the experience has been fulfilling and has opened up the possibility of parenthood.
Despite previously being hesitant about starting a family, Hamm has undergone a shift in perspective in recent years. He attributes this change to his relationship with Osceola and the work he has done on his emotional well-being. Hamm believes that his previous trauma, including the loss of his mother at an early age, had hindered his emotional accessibility.

In an earlier interview with Howard Stern, Hamm explained, "It's only been in the last couple of years of me kind of sitting down and really thinking about it [fatherhood] that's made the relationship that I'm in now even more meaningful and opened up the possibility of things like being married, having kids."
