The Brooklyn drill rapper is caught in a video getting into a scuffle with another man while making an appearance in a New York courthouse for a racketeering case.

AceShowbiz - Sleepy Hallow couldn't hold himself back, even in front of cops. The Brooklyn drill rapper was involved in a wild scuffle in a New York courthouse, leading to him getting detained by police.

The incident was caught in a video shared on multiple social media accounts. In the clip, multiple police officers were pulling Sleepy Hallow off someone who was already on the floor. "Get off me," someone was heard shouting in the video, while an onlooker said, "This is the stupidest s**t I seen in my life."

Sleepy Hallow got a kick in before police officers were able to restrain him. A second video appears to capture the aftermath of the fight as Sleepy Hallow was seen wearing handcuffs and behaving noticeably more calm.

The Instagram blog blextv, which shared the video, put a disclaimer noting the clip is "a skit for entertainment purposes during a music video shoot," but it's likely only to avoid having the violent content removed by the platform.

It's unclear what led to the fight. Sleepy Hallow, whose real name is Tegan Joshua Anthony Chambers, had a court hearing on Tuesday morning, June 18 in Kings Supreme Criminal Court in Brooklyn for an open racketeering case.

In May 2023, the "Deep End Freestyle" hitmaker, Sheff G and 30 other alleged members of the 8 Trey Crips and 9 Ways gang in New York City were charged in a 140-count indictment by the Brooklyn N.Y. District Attorney's Office. The indictment, which dates back to March of 2019, accuses the alleged gang members of 12 shootings, resulting in 13 victims including one killing. Police say the group used pig Latin to conceal their crimes over the phone. He is currently out on bond.

Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez has criticized Sleepy Hallow's behavior, arguing that rappers like Sleepy Hallow and Sheff G should be punished for their organized crimes. "They take people out, and they’re able to spend money," the D.A. told the Associated Press. "And they're able to encourage others to do some of the gang violence that's just critically important to them and their status in the community."
