The former Ultimate Fighting Championship Featherweight and Lightweight Champion sets the record straight after Chael brought up the allegation on his 'Good Guy/Bad Guy' show with Daniel Cormier.

AceShowbiz - Conor McGregor is not in rehab. The former Featherweight and Lightweight Champion has shut down Chael Sonnen's claim about him receiving treatment for substance abuse.

For the record, Chael brought up the allegation on his "Good Guy/Bad Guy" show with Daniel Cormier. In its Monday, June 17 episode, the retired mixed martial artist called out Conor for saying an injury forced him to back out of his fight against Michael Chandler.

"What incredible irony that both sides have these massive interests in alcohol, and one side is in the middle of rehab for substance abuse, including alcohol," the 47-year-old said. He then joked about how he "wasn't supposed to talk about that."

Daniel then claimed he didn't hear what Chael said. It prompted the latter to drop even more obvious hints by referencing Conor's Proper No. 12 whiskey.

"Have this proper drink," the submission grappling promoter stated. "I'll see you in a proper while, 'cause I'm in a proper facility right now watching me not have drinks."

Catching wind of the two's remarks, Conor's rep was quick to set the record straight. "The fight was canceled after an injury he sustained during training," Karen Kessler told TMZ. "He is looking forward to a new date."

The news arrived one month after Conor's dad, Tony McGregor, was hospitalized following a heart attack. Despite the alarming incident, Tony has shared a positive update on his recovery.

The 64-year-old experienced chest pains earlier Thursday, May 16, and was swiftly taken to Hermitage Clinic in West Dublin. Following a successful procedure to have a stent inserted, Tony expressed his gratitude towards the cardiology team at the Hermitage, lauding their care as "the best ever."

On his Instagram story, Tony shared a photo from his hospital bed accompanied by the song "I'm Feelin' It" by Sunset Bros and Mark McCabe. He wrote, "Heart attack in the morning, stent in the afternoon, sweet (and) sour chicken in the evening. See ya later suckers."
