AceShowbiz - Dorit Kemsley's ex reached a new milestone on Father's Day. On Sunday, June 16, Paul "PK" Kemsley said he's been sober for six months now and he's so "grateful" for it.
Taking to Instagram, the 56-year-old shared a screenshot from a sobriety app that showed he had been sober for "0.50 years, 6.06 months, 185 days, 4,453 hours." In the caption, he wrote, "On Father's Day the greatest gift I can give my 5 kids is to remain sober … grateful and proud to say this weekend I am 6 months … Happy Fathers Day to all you great dads out there doing your best."
PK reached his new achievement more than a month after he and Dorit announced their split. The now-estranged couple, who tied the knot in a resplendent ceremony at New York City's famed Rainbow Room in March 2015, confirmed the news through a joint statement on Instagram.
"We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage," they stated, before acknowledging the array of challenges they faced together, from personal security issues to professional pressures, and even legal battles. "We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together."
"To safe guard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children," they added.
