During a Q&A session on May 27, the 45-year-old reality star responded to a fan questioning how she gained the strength to keep going after six unsuccessful IVF attempts, labeling the process as "debilitating." "I stopped after a year of trying (5 failed IVF cycles, 3 retrievals) my body relaxed and I believed in God's plan for my life," Kardashian Barker wrote.
Kardashian Barker emphasized the importance of faith and health optimization during her journey. "Lots of prayers for whatever was meant to be for us. Also lots of optimizing my health. I know how hard it is to feel like you're not trying, but believing in God's plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. All the best!" she shared, resonating with many who have faced similar struggles.
In November, Kardashian Barker and her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, welcomed their first baby together, a son named Rocky Thirteen. The couple was taken by surprise with the pregnancy after deciding to take a break from the rigorous IVF treatments.
Reflecting on this unexpected turn, Kardashian Barker revealed on a season 4 episode of "The Kardashians", "It happened on Valentine's Day. I mean, people would always tell say to us, 'When you stop trying, it's just going to happen.'"
She further elaborated, "We stopped doing IVF probably two months before our wedding and so it took a year for all those hormones and chemicals to get out of my system. We were not trying whatsoever. I wasn't even checking my ovulation anymore. We decided to put it in God's hands and thought it was just not happening. We were accepting of it and then... God's plan."
The couple expressed their profound gratitude for what they describe as a miracle. "It truly feels like a miracle being able to be pregnant and have a baby with the love of my life," Kardashian Barker added.
This bundle of joy joins a blended family with Kardashian Barker's children, Reign Aston, Mason Dash, and Penelope Scotland from her previous relationship with Scott Disick, alongside Travis's children, Landon, Alabama, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya.
