Nikki Glaser insists the boos had nothing to do with the feud between Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift, claiming that it was an intoxicated man who led the jeers.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian's appearance at Tom Brady's Netflix special roast on May 5 didn't go as planned, with the reality star facing unexpected boos from the audience. While theories swirled about Taylor Swift's fanbase being responsible, comedian Nikki Glaser has shed light on what truly happened.

Glaser, who also appeared at the roast, unwrapped the incident on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast. She mentioned that the boos were ignited by "some 'wild guy who's a comedian' with a 'reputation for just, like, starting s**t.' " She highlighted that the comedian was drunk as he led the audience, predominantly sports fans, to join in the booing.

"Apparently, he started the boo as just, like, a joke. He just had too many drinks or something, and he's not affiliated with Swifties or anything [and] just felt like saying a boo into the air, and apparently everyone was so riled up," she explained.

The comedienne, herself a Swiftie, assured that the vibe in the room didn't align with that narrative. "It just kinda caught wind, but it wasn't Swiftie-meditated. I do have that on good information that it was not based on that. Because I was like, this doesn't feel like a huge Swiftie crowd," she continued.

During her roast segment, Kardashian maintained her composure despite the crowd's reaction, jokingly referencing her past relationships and the rumors of her dating Brady. Even Brady couldn't resist taking a friendly jab at her, mentioning her ex-husband, Kanye West.

Glaser took the time to defend Kardashian and her family from critics who dismiss their accomplishments. She argued that their success over the last two decades is proof of their talent, even if it doesn't fit conventional definitions.

"I don't want to hear that anymore that they're not talented. They clearly are! They've achieved something consistently for 20 years now. They're talented! It just doesn't look like the talent you define," she asserted.

In the aftermath, Kardashian reached out to Glaser, praising her performance at the roast. Glaser reciprocated the sentiment, expressing her admiration for the reality star's comedic chops, especially after her standout "Saturday Night Live" monologue in 2021.

Ultimately, the incident serves as a reminder that live events can be unpredictable, and even a seemingly harmless joke can snowball into an unexpected controversy. For Kardashian, the boos at the roast were just another challenge she handled with grace and humor.
