AceShowbiz - Suri Cruise has shown her close bond with her mother Katie Holmes after allegedly snubbing her dad Tom Cruise. The teen has stepped out with the actress in New York City after dropping her father's last name.
Suri and her mother Katie were seen going for a walk in NYC on Thursday, May 16. Showing her evolving style as she almost becomes an adult now, the 18-year-old flashed her tummy in a white crop top with a swan on front.
The teen, who will graduate from high school soon, added low-slung acid-washed blue denim jeans and a matching blue denim jacket with a beige leather collar. She also had a long necklace and slip-in brown suede shoes as her dark brown hair was parted in the middle and pulled back.
Suri walked side-by-side with her mother, who bundled up in a pale beige trench coat over a mocha latte colored turtleneck. The actress added dark blue jeans with a wide leg and black loafers as she clutched a drink in her hand.
The mother-and-daughter duo were spotted crossing a street in the lower Manhattan neighborhood. Their latest outing comes following reports that Suri has changed her name of a school play.
According to Hello Magazine, Suri doesn't want to include her famous last name in her high school musical's playbill. The teen, instead, adopted her mother's middle name and went by Suri Noelle in the playbill for her school's production of "Head Over Heels".
The reports went on revealing that Suri starred as Philoclea in the show, which features music from power-pop greats The Go-Gos. Katie as well as Suri's grandparents Martin and Kathleen were all in the audience for the show.
Suri just turned 18 on April 18. As she continues to bond with her mother, she celebrated her recent birthday away from her father, who has been busy filming "Mission: Impossible 8" in London.
