Columbia Broadcasting System or CBS expands its CSI franchise with the new docuseries, an unscripted docuseries featuring gripping real-life crimes and cutting-edge forensic science.

AceShowbiz - CBS is expanding the beloved CSI franchise with a new unscripted, true-crime docuseries titled "The Real CSI: Miami". This new series, set to debut on June 26th at 10 P.M. ET, is based on the popular drama "CSI: Miami", which originally ran from 2002 to 2012.

Each episode of "The Real CSI: Miami" will showcase gripping real-life crime cases and the cutting-edge forensic science used to solve them. The docuseries highlights the victims and their families' search for justice. The series is produced by JBTV and Magical Elves, with Jerry Bruckheimer serving as executive producer alongside Anthony E. Zuiker, KristieAnne Reed, Ann Donahue, Carol Mendelsohn, Jo Sharon, Casey Kriley and John Henshaw.

The announcement of "The Real CSI: Miami" comes after the recent cancellation of "CSI: Vegas", a revival of the original "CSI" series. CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach hinted at the possibility of new CSI projects during the announcement of the network's 2024-2025 lineup. "We definitely think that franchise is alive and well," Reisenbach said. "We'll continue to be in discussions. It's a part of our legacy as a company and yes, I think that ultimately, we'll find different and interesting ways to bring the show back."

The CSI franchise has had a long and successful run, with the original series, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", launching in 2000. The franchise has since expanded to include four spinoff series: "CSI: Miami", "CSI: New York", "CSI: Cyber" and "CSI: Vegas".

In addition to "The Real CSI: Miami", CBS has announced other premiere dates for its summer lineup, including "Tulsa King" on July 14th, Big Brother on July 17th, and "Let's Make a Deal Primetime" on August 7th.
