The 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' vet recently landed in hot water after leading fans to believe that her ex Kroy Biermann passed away with an Instagram post.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Biermann has spoken out after her mom Kim Zolciak made headlines due to her controversial clickbait Instagram post, in which she implied that her estranged husband Kroy Biermann was dead. In an Instagram video, Ariana admitted that she was as shocked as others after catching wind the post.

"You guys, I about had a damn heart attack... when I went on my Instagram," Ariana told her 308K followers in the video, which was shared on Tuesday, April 23. "I physically don't have any f**king words."

She added that she was still trying to process her mom's action, saying, "What? Like, what?" She also noted that she received a lot of DMs, sharing, "The DMs I'm getting as well, like before I even saw the story."

"Secondhand embarrassment stays through the roof, um, let's see what's coming next week," Ariana continued. Seemingly on the verge of tears, the 22-year-old concluded her video by saying while slapping her heart with the palm of her hand, "My heart... like tugging... like NO... the f**k?!"

Earlier that day, Kim led fans to believe that her ex Kroy passed away with an Instagram post. She posted a black-and-white photo of her and the former NFL star with the caption, "#RIP [broken heart emoji] #LinkInBio." The link, however, directed people to a website called Celebuzz and an article from February 2023 about celebrities who had passed away so far that year.

Back in 2023, TMZ reported that the former star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" tried to "make a quick buck" and she's "getting a financial kickback from the clickbait article." She seemingly got a percentage of the ad revenue from all the clicks she sends to the link.

Rather unsurprisingly, Internet users slammed Kim for the prank. "Even for her this is a new low," one said on X, formerly known as Twitter. "I think she needed a quick cash injection."
