After weeks of the internet chatters, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end finally breaks his silence on his new gig as a host of 'Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?' spinoff.

AceShowbiz - Three-time Super Bowl champion and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has added hosting duties for the game show "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?" to his growing list of accomplishments.

Prime Video has ordered 20 episodes of the spinoff, which will feature Kelce guiding adult contestants as they seek to answer elementary school-level questions with the help of a classroom full of celebrities.

"I grew up loving game shows, and I'm excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one," said Kelce. "The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone's favorite celebrities to the screen will definitely be entertaining."

The spinoff will feature a unique twist on the original format. Contestants will enlist the help of celebrities who hail from the realms of stage, screen, and sports. Each game will consist of 11 questions drawn from an elementary school curriculum, with a grand prize of $100,000.

On the final question, worth $100,000, contestants will select one celebrity to discuss the answer before locking in their final choice.

MGM Alternative General Manager Barry Poznick hailed Kelce as "the ultimate class clown," while Amazon MGM Studios Head of AVOD Original Unscripted and Targeted Programming Lauren Anderson praised his "natural, comedic dynamic."

Kelce's hosting gig marks his first major venture into television after his successful hosting stint on "Saturday Night Live" and his appearance in the short-lived reality dating show "Catching Kelce."

Outside the realm of football and television, Kelce has been actively involved in various projects. He is currently producing a documentary about artist Jean-Michel Basquiat titled "King Pleasure." Additionally, he launched his own music festival, Kelce Jam, which will take place on April 28 in Kansas City.

Kelce also co-hosts the sports podcast "New Heights."
