The former 'Baywatch' beauty has been officially confirmed to share screen with the 'Taken' actor for the upcoming big-screen revival of the classic comedy series.

AceShowbiz - Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson will take on the lead roles in a remake of the classic comedy series "The Naked Gun." Anderson, 56, is set to play Neeson's love interest in the reboot, which is slated for release on July 18, 2025.

Neeson, 71, will star as clueless police detective Frank Drebin, a role originally portrayed by Leslie Nielsen in the original series and film trilogy. Anderson's role is similar to that of Priscilla Presley, who played Drebin's love interest in the original films.

Akiva Schaffer ("Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping") will direct the new "Naked Gun," which is based on the TV series "Police Squad!" and will feature a script written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins will produce the film through their company Fuzzy Door.

Anderson has previous experience with Nielsen, having appeared with him in the spoof films "Superhero Movie" and "Scary Movie 3." The upcoming "Naked Gun" reboot will be one of Anderson's biggest film projects in recent years, following her Broadway debut in "Chicago" in 2022.

Neeson, known for his roles in dramatic films like "Schindler's List" and action movies like "Taken," has expressed some nervousness about his transition to comedy. However, he believes in the script and the team behind the film.

It is unclear who will fill the role of Drebin's partner Nordberg, originally played by O.J. Simpson. The casting process for other roles in the film is still ongoing.

The original "Naked Gun" trilogy was a critical and commercial success, becoming known for its slapstick humor and memorable characters. Fans are eagerly awaiting the reboot to see how Neeson and Anderson will bring these iconic characters to life while paying homage to the legacy of Nielsen.
