AceShowbiz - The legal battle between Post Malone and the lawyers representing his ex-girlfriend, Ashlen Diaz, has taken a turn as the settlement agreement appears to be unraveling. According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, a hearing was held in Los Angeles Superior Court regarding the lawsuit filed by Martorell Law against Post and Diaz.

The law firm claims that there are "problems surrounding the long-form settlement" and that a mediator is involved in facilitating negotiations. Failure to finalize the agreement could reopen the case and set a trial date.

Martorell Law was hired by Diaz after her split from Post to negotiate palimony, a form of support for unmarried partners. Diaz was initially offered $150,000 by Post but believed it was inadequate. The firm claims to have negotiated with Post on her behalf but was dismissed by Diaz before the deal was completed.

Allegedly, Post intervened and convinced Diaz to drop her lawyers and settle directly with him for $350,000. However, Martorell Law maintains that they were never compensated for their services. They are now suing for a portion of the $350,000 settlement.

Post has denied liability, claiming he had no influence over Diaz's decision to terminate her lawyers. However, the law firm has accused Post of controlling Diaz through alleged abuse during their relationship. They argue that he pressured and coerced Diaz to fire them to avoid a larger settlement and continue manipulating her. Diaz is said to have succumbed to this pressure, leaving her without the legal representation she needed.

The situation remains unresolved, and the outcome of the legal battle is yet to be determined.
