The collaborative song will be the 27-year-old singer's first single since she announced her debut solo album, 'Dopamine', which is slated to be released later this year.

AceShowbiz - Normani Kordei has tapped Gunna for her new music. On Saturday, March 23, the former member of Fifth Harmony announced that she will release "1:59" featuring the YSL rapper next month.

The 27-year-old shared the news via Instagram by posting a snippet of the track. She captioned it, "soo basically my first single 1:59 will be coming out 4/26."

The song will be Normani's first single since she announced her debut album "Dopamine" last month. On February 21, the singer/dancer revealed that she is slated to unleash the album this year. However, she did not offer a specific date for the set release.

In her first post, Normani uploaded the cover art of "Dopamine". The artwork saw her sitting on top of a black rocket while wearing a raunchy all-black outfit. She showed off her figure in a black bra top and a pair of skimpy matching undies that came with silver chain embellishments on them.

The "Wild Side" songstress put on silver necklaces to accessorize herself. It could be seen that her fingers up to her lower arms and her lower knees down to her feet are covered in black body paint. In addition, her long black hair cascaded down her chest with her bangs covering her forehead.

Normani previously opened up about the project when speaking to Deadline on the red carpet at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. She gushed, "The singles have changed. I will definitely say that. And you guys won't know what's coming... I'm so, so excited."

The artist noted that she actually wanted to drop the album sooner. "I want this to come out just as bad as you guys do. I think that's such a misconception," she added. "I want this project to come out more than literally anybody."

"But it's literally the best music that I've made, and I couldn't be more proud," she assured fans. "I know that once it comes out, you guys are going to be like, 'Ok, the wait was definitely worth it.' "
