The 31-year-old Grammy-winning artist says she’s 'afraid' of doing anything because the public keeps commenting on her life.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B wasn't always confident. In an interview, the "WAP" hitmaker confessed that she used to be "afraid" of negative comments about her, leading her to feel afraid to do anything.

"I just feel like I lost myself with everything, you know, like, a lot of music commenters and everything and a lot of people just be like, you know, 'She's afraid to drop an album, she’s afraid to drop music,' " the 31-year-old said on "360 with Speedy". "Last year, I barely dropped music. It's just like I was just afraid to do everything."

Last year, Cardi only released "Bongos" ft. Megan Thee Stallion. The Grammy-winning artist hasn't dropped an album since 2018's "Invasion of Privacy", but stayed on airwaves over the years with singles like "Up" and "WAP".

"I was afraid to go live, I was afraid to post a picture, I was afraid to go to the club, and then the next day seeing people, what they going to say about me, and everything," the mom of two lamented. "I was afraid to do everything."

Cardi went on to express her frustrations over a Valentine's Day outing with her estranged husband, Offset. The femcee said they kissed in their car and she consequently got red lipstick smudged "everywhere."

Thus, Cardi covered her face with an iPhone so people wouldn't notice. Unfortunately, "all [she saw] is the next day, 'Oh, Cardi got her nose done!' " The female rapper continued recalling, "I don't even want people to know where the f**k I'm at or what the f**k I'm doing ... every day is some new s**t."

This arrived after Cardi faced backlash over her controversial take on splitting the bills 50/50 for couples. The musician claimed women should consider splitting the bills 50/50 with their men, but she already clarified what she meant by it.

"When I was talking about the 50/50 situation...I didn't say that women have to go 50/50 with a man. And let me make this very clear, and I wasn't talking about my situation."

"Fortunately, and I'm very grateful, me and Offset, we're practically part of the 1%," she rightfully bragged. "We don't have those regular rules, or regular bills s**t that a lot of people experience because we both are, I don't even want to not sound like humble but we're both rich."
