AceShowbiz - Louis Partridge has talked about his relationship with Olivia Rodrigo for the first time since they sparked romance rumors. The "Enola Holmes" actor explained why he thinks relationships, including his with the "Drivers License" hitmaker, should be kept under tight wraps.
The 20-year-old British actor had an interview, which was published on Sunday, March 17, about various topics, including his romance with the 20-year-old Grammy-winning singer. Speaking to British Vogue, he said, "Dating probably shouldn't be done in the public eye."
On the reason why, Louis, who was recently caught attending Olivia's concerts amid her "Guts World Tour", elaborated, "There's enough going on between two people. You don't need the voices of thousands of others in your head." He went on to say, "I think she's got it a lot worse than I have. I can be a bit of a normal person. She's got tons and tons of eyes on her case."
In the article, the magazine wrote that the actor broke "into a wry smile" when Olivia's moniker was "brought up" during the chat. The magazine also noted that "her fans [declared] their acceptance of him" and "his fans [asked] for his hand in marriage" in the comment section of his Instagram post.
About how he responded to the online responses, Louis shared, "If there's a load of people nattering in a room about you, you can choose to put your ear to the door to hear what they say or not." He further stated, "I think you're probably better off not letting curiosity get the better of you."
Louis and Olivia sparked dating rumors in late October 2023 after photos of them packing on PDAs in London circulated online. On December 12 of that same year, the two famous figures appeared to have confirmed their romance with another PDA-filled outing. At the time, they were spotted sharing a passionate kiss while stopping by a gas station in New York City.
