AceShowbiz - Christian Bale is once again showing his dedication to his job. The actor, who has never been hesitant to undergo dramatic transformations for his roles, has gone bald for his next movie "Bride of Frankenstein".

The 50-year-old debuted his freshly shaved head when spotted in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 21. The English actor, who has lived in L.A. since the 1990s with his family, stepped out to grab some coffee in Brentwood, California that afternoon.

For the outing, the Oscar-winning actor sported a black hoodie and a pair of blue-gray pants completed with black sneakers with white soles. He wore a pair of stylish sunglasses to protect his eyes from the sunlight while flaunting his newly-shaved head.

It is believed that the "Batman Begins" actor will begin filming on his new movie "Bride of Frankenstein" soon. Maggie Gyllenhaal is set to direct the remake of the 1935 film for Netflix. The movie is being produced by Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Gyllenhaal, Talia Kleinhendler and Osnat Handelsman-Keren, with Courtney Kivowitz and Carla Raij serving as executive producers.

Annette Bening, Jessie Buckley, Penelope Cruz and Peter Sarsgaard are also on board as the cast for the film, which follows Frankenstein's pursuit of love. Per Deadline's report, a logline for the upcoming movie reads, "A lonely Frankenstein travels to 1930s Chicago to seek the aide of a Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman and the Bride is born. She is beyond what either of them intended, igniting a combustible romance, the attention of the police and a wild and radical social movement."

This isn't the first time Bale has gone bald for a movie. Back in 2021, he shaved his head to portray the villain, Gorr the God Butcher, in "Thor: Love and Thunder" (2022). He previously shed almost 30 kg and shocked with his skeletal frame in 2004's "The Machinist".
