The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter, who is now romancing NFL star Travis Kelce, made the revelation at her 'Eras Tour' stop at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift was "lonely" when writing her "Folklore" album during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Grammy-winning artist, who dated Joe Alwyn at the time, made the revelation at her "Eras Tour" stop at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia.

"[I was] imagining that, instead of being a lonely millennial woman covered in cat hair drinking my weight in white wine," the 34-year-old said in a fan-captured video before performing "Betty" at the Saturday, February 17 show, "I was a ghostly Victorian lady wandering through the woods with a candle in a candlestick holder."

"And I wrote only on parchment with a feathered quill... That was in my mind, what I thought I looked like writing Folklore," the pop star continued. "So that's all that matters - the delusion."

Taylor and Joe had been dating for six years before news of their split broke in April 2023. The exes, who had been speculated to have gotten engaged, reportedly had no drama when they decided to end their romance.

Speaking to Page Six about their breakup, an insider revealed at that time, "It wasn't dramatic. [The relationship] just ran its course." Taylor is now happily in a relationship with Travis Kelce and they've since gotten more and more smitten with each other.

Travis reportedly plans to join Taylor on the road for some of her international "Eras Tour" dates after winning the 2024 Super Bowl. A source told PEOPLE that he was "excited to show up for" his girlfriend in "the way she has for him."

They are making plans for the summer and are excited to travel together in Europe when Taylor takes her tour there," the insider added. "(Travis is) ready for some downtime."
