The comedian says in an interview that he doesn't even know 'why there would be a need' to reconcile with the 'Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire' actress.

AceShowbiz - D.L. Hughley is not planning to bury the hatchet with Mo'Nique. In a new interview, the actor made it clear that he is not interested in reconciliation with the "Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire" star.

The 60-year-old addressed the matter when speaking to TMZ in New York City. Declaring that he will never sit down with his nemesis on Shannon Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay" podcast, the comic added, "No, I haven't spoken to Mo'Nique."

Hughley said he didn't regret anything that was said on his behalf. He went on to note that he doesn't even know "why there would be a need" to reconcile with the Oscar-winning actress.

"She said what she said, I said what I said. We're grown people, we don't have to be in the same space," he explained. "But I think the idea people need to reconcile when they obviously are never gonna see things out of eyes is a bit of a fallacy."

When appearing in the Wednesday, February 7 episode of "Club Shay Shay", Mo'Nique talked about her past contract dispute with Hughley. She also name-dropped Oprah Winfrey, Taraji P. Henson, Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart, Tyler Perry and more.

It prompted Hughley to fire back, "Every time I see Mo'Nique these days, she's doing some greasy a** video with her and her daddy complaining about something or working out." The comedian added in an Instagram video, "She said I was very dismissive. Mo'Nique's a liar."

"When Mo'Nique did call me, I heard her complaints. I listened to her, and I pulled the segment," he continued. "So, if I had been as dismissive as she alleges I was, that segment would have aired. It didn't because I respected her wishes. She's a liar."
