The entrepreneur wife of Patrick Mahomes shares her positive attitude in dealing with all the criticisms she has faced on social media after being name a 2024 SI Swimsuit Rookie.

AceShowbiz - Brittany Mahomes is unfazed by backlash after making her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut. The retired women's soccer player has shared her positive attitude in dealing with criticisms after she was named a 2024 SI Swimsuit Rookie.

On Thursday, February 8, the 28-year-old took to her Instagram Story to share a snap from her photoshoot for the magazine. She flashed her cleavage and toned abs in a red one-piece bikini featuring a huge cut-out from the chest down to the torso area.

Over the photo, Brittany shared a message to her followers, "I'm here to tell you. People will dislike you. People will love you. Don't let any of that define you." She added, "KEEP SHINING and being YOU."

In an interview with the magazine, Brittany shared a similar message about being "unapologetically yourself." She said, "Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself. People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you 'you' to be the best version of yourself is what really matters."

Brittany posted the Story after she received some pushback over her SI Swimsuit debut. Earlier on Thursday, the magazine posted a behind-the-scenes video from the photoshoot along with a caption that read, "Brittany Mahomes is your newest 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie!"

MJ Day, Editor of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, further described the mother of two, "Owner of the Kansas City Current NWSL team, former pro athlete, wife and mother, Brittany emerges as the epitome of a modern-day powerhouse. Founder of the world's first ever dedicated stadium for women's sports, Brittany's journey has surpassed all expectations, inspiring others with her tenacity and unyielding determination. We are proud to welcome her to the SI Swimsuit family where she will undoubtedly continue to empower women worldwide."

After the post was also shared on Brittany's page, many weighed in on her SI Swimsuit debut, with many wondering why she deserved to be featured in the magazine's special annual issue. "Sports illustrated has officially fallen off," one person commented. Another said of the wife of Patrick Mahomes, "Not even close to being a super model! Not attractive at all."

"Why tf is she in sports illustrated?" a third critic asked. Someone called it "cringing," while another remarked, "Yet so many models apply but because she is relevant and has money she gets it on her first try ok she looks good but she only got it because she is currently relevant for hanging out with swift." Someone else similarly claimed, "This is what money buys you! Most people work hard towards something like this and never even get looked at!"

There were others who have come to Brittany's defense though. "What's funny is amid all the haters this girl is killing it. Held it down with one baby daddy since MIDDLE SCHOOL! Think about how rare that is in 2024 and you'll see this chicks value," one fan said.

"the haters in these comments are NOT IT. she is so hot and cool," another clapped back at the naysayers. "I promise that the hating dudes will be spending plenty of time 'reviewing' her pics," someone predicted, while another encouraged the co-owner of the Kansas City Current, "Let's go Brittany!! My favorite rookie!! She deserves this, she takes so much crap from the public- she got the last laugh."
