AceShowbiz - Trevor Noah has showered Dua Lipa with praise following her performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards. The host of the award show, who was rumored to be romantically linked to Dua, did not shy away from publicly giving his take on the "Dance the Night" singer's show.
On Sunday night, February 4, the 39-year-old South African comedian could not help but gush over the 28-year-old pop star performance when he hosted the 66th annual event, which was held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. He marveled, "Wow! Are you kidding me? Come on, give it up, y'all! That was amazing! Dua Lipa!"
Trevor went on to exclaim, "That is why she is one of the best performers of a generation!" Not stopping there, the former host of "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" stated, "I'm never going to look at scaffolding the same. Did you see that thing?"
Trevor's praise for Dua led many social media users to voice their opinions on the matter. Making use of X, formerly known as Twitter, one X user in particular alleged that he is "trying to get her back." Meanwhile, another penned, "Trevor Noah announcing Dua Lipa to start this off is SO FUNNY."
In the meantime, a third noted, "I am old enough to remember that Trevor Noah went on a date with Dua Lipa #Grammys." A fourth deemed it "crazy" for Trevor to announce Dua at the award show.
During the event, Dua treated other attendees to a performance of her songs, including her upcoming single titled "Training Season" that is set to be released on February 15 and her 2023 track titled "Houdini". She was joined by a number of backup dancers, who did pull-ups on a metal structure.
At one point, the "New Rules" songstress, who rocked an all-black outfit and a pair of boots with towering heels, even sang from on top of the metal structure as the dancers carried it and turned it around. She also did several seductive dance moves in front of the attendees.
