"They had an immediate spark when they first started dating," a source tells Us Weekly about the instant connection between the pair, adding that "things have only grown closer between them since" their initial connection in the Fall 2023.
The so-called insider notes that the British beauty "never expected to find someone she cares about this quickly" following her split from Joe Jonas, but she "couldn't help but fall" for Perry for a variety of reasons. "Of course, the physical attraction is there," the informant dishes. "But Perry treats Sophie with nothing but respect and he makes her laugh, which is also so important to her."
It also helps that Sophie and Perry have mutual friends in common, which she "loves" because it allows her to have "a level of familiarity with him that makes her feel comfortable." The source further gushes, "Things are going really well, and Sophie couldn't be happier."
Sophie and Perry indeed appear to have been confident since the beginning of their relationship as they have never been shy to flaunt their affection toward each other in public. Recently, the actress made their relationship Instagram official by sharing first photos of her boyfriend on her page.
On Monday, January 29, the "Dark Phoenix" star posted pictures from a ski trip with her 29-year-old beau and their friends. In one of the snaps, they took a group selfie while on a ski lift. Another image saw the 27-year-old star standing close to her beau while the foursome posed at the top of a mountain.
"Jagerbomb anyone?" so she captioned the photos, referring to the cocktail made with a Jagermeister shot and Red Bull. While she didn't mention Perry in the caption, Sophie made sure to tag his Instagram handler.
