AceShowbiz - Tom Brady may be acting cool amid his rumored non-exclusive relationship with Irina Shayk, but deep down he appears to be wanting more commitment. Rumor has it that the retired football player has been sending his flame "extravagant gifts" in a "desperate" attempt to lock her down.
"Tom has been wining and dining Irina at the fanciest restaurants and sending her extravagant gifts and huge bouquets of flowers in a bid to take things to the next level," a source tells the National Enquirer (via RadarOnline.com), but she apparently plays hard to get. The source adds, "But she keeps disrupting his game plan, telling him she's happy with the arrangement they have."
After first sparking dating rumors in the summer, the former NFL star and the Russian beauty have been on and off for several months, due to what a source reportedly refers to as "offensive interference" by Irina's ex-boyfriend and baby daddy Bradley Cooper which may threaten to foil Tom's attempt to lock her down.
"Whenever Irina seems to be getting serious with Tom, Bradley will swoop back onto the scene and confuse the whole situation," a so-called insider claims. "This is a pattern that's been going on since the start."
"Whenever Bradley dangles the carrot of a reconciliation, Irina ditches Tom and goes running back to him. And that only makes Tom more desperate to lock her down," the insider explains, adding, "It's very hard on Tom. His ego is taking a beating."
Tom and Irina were last seen together earlier this month, proving that they're still casually seeing each other despite their split rumors last year. On January 15, the pair were spotted having a dinner date at a fancy shmancy place in Lower Manhattan. They were pictured having a conversation while waiting for their foods to be served at a French restaurant called Brasserie Fouquet's New York.
A source told TMZ that they did not show any PDA during the meal, but they were definitely cozy. They reportedly spent 2 hours at the restaurant and the former football quarterback chowed down on a $30 burger before covering the tab.
