In a new episode of his YouTube series 'Nightcap', the former NFL player controversially claims no one can move the needle on the NFL as much as the 'Blank Space' hitmaker.

AceShowbiz - Shannon Sharpe compared Taylor Swift to Beyonce Knowles in a new episode of his YouTube series "Nightcap". The former NFL player claimed no one could have a bigger impact on the NFL than the "Karma" singer.

"The attention that she brings and the people, the eyes, that she brings that don't even watch the game of football...," co-host Chad Ochocinco said. "It's crazy what she's been able to do for the NFL."

Shannon then challenged, "Tell the other person that's gonna do that," to which Chad replied, "Beyonce." Shannon, however, disagreed as he said, "Not like this. These eight-to-15-year-old eyeballs... Ocho, I love Beyonce. [But] Beyonce ain't moving the needle like this chick, Ocho. ... She's the closest thing to moving the needle like Michael Jackson that we've seen. This is it."

Chad insisted that the "Renaissance" artist can bring that much impact or even more. Despite that, Shannon wasn't sold. "No she doesn't. Not like Taylor. ... Taylor Swift, I mean, she a different animal. Beyonce is phenomenal," he argued.

Shannon also noted that the NFL would want the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show over "Beyonce, Jay-Z and Rihanna combined" but Taylor turned down the offer. He further said, "Just the facts."

Shannon's remarks enraged people online, especially Beyhives. "How is Beyonce not moving the needle like Taylor? They literally do similar things with equivalent fandoms one just has a very different approach than the other," one wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"leave it to Black men to boost a white woman over a Black woman," one other noted. Someone else pointed out, "We all know Taylor is bigger when it comes to numbers. We aren't even going to get into that. We also know that Taylor would be the popular pick by the NFL if asked today. However, the way he diminishes Beys IMPACTS sounded weird and dismissive. But. It's his opinion."
