The 'What Goes Around... Comes Around' hitmaker reportedly is 'in a celebratory mood' and 'excited' despite the backlash as he debuts a new song featuring rapper Tobe Nwigwe.

AceShowbiz - Justin Timberlake reportedly was unfazed by backlash from Britney Spears' fans. The "What Goes Around... Comes Around" hitmaker allegedly was "in a celebratory mood" despite being trolled by his teenage girlfriend's devotees following the release of his single "Selfish".

Speaking to Page Six on Sunday, January 28, a source revealed, "He's very happy to be performing again and working on new music. He's all about having a good time right now. He's feeling reinvigorated and is doing what he loves, making the music he loves to create. He's never felt better." The source went on to spill, "He's healthy, rehearsing and getting in shape. He's excited and in a celebratory mood."

The revelation came after Justin's single "Selfish" slipped from No. 1 to No. 3 on U.S. iTunes. The song, which was released on Thursday, January 25, slightly dropped one day later after Britney's fans supported her by streaming her 2011 track, which had the same title "Selfish". Her fans began trolling him since her memoir "The Woman in Me", wherein she threw him under the bus with revelation about their past relationship, hit bookshelves in October 2023.

Despite the backlash, Justin continued creating music. On Saturday, January 27, he debuted a new song titled "Sanctified", which features Houston-based rapper Tobe Nwigwe. He delivered the single when making an appearance on "Saturday Night Live" for the first time in around ten years.

Justin, who was introduced by host Dakota Johnson on the show, performed along with a number of backup singers before Tobe appeared on stage with several backup dancers, who were following the spitter from behind. At one point, Justin even did some dance moves with Tobe as the latter rapped.

During the show, Justin, who announced on Friday that he will embark on the "Forget Tomorrow" world tour, also delivered his song "Selfish". For this particular performance, he was introduced by his longtime pal and TV host Jimmy Fallon.

Both "Sanctified" and "Selfish" are set to be featured in Justin's upcoming album titled "Everything I Thought I Was". The NSYNC member teased the forthcoming set via Instagram on January 19.
