Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Support Bob Marley Movie With Surprise Appearance at Premiere

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex happily pose for photos with members of the late reggae artist's family at the screening at the Carib Theatre in Kingston, Jamaica.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just had an unexpected movie date night. The couple has stepped out in Jamaica to support a Bob Marley movie by making a surprise appearance at the premiere of "Bob Marley: One Love".

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the screening which took place on Tuesday night, January 23 at the Carib Theatre in Kingston, Jamaica. The pair walked the red carpet hand-in-hand as the former actress flashed her radiant smile. They happily posed with members of the late reggae artist's family with Harry sweetly placing his hand on his wife's back.

The "Suits" alum looked chic in a black dress with spaghetti straps and a voluminous skirt. She paired the ensemble with a black clutch and gold earrings while her hair was styled in a sleek updo. As for Harry, he opted for a blue suit and white button-down without a tie.

"Bob Marley: One Love" stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as the legendary singer and Lashana Lynch as his wife Rita. It is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green with a script written by Green, Terence Winter, Frank E. Flowers and Zach Baylin, from a story by Winter and Flowers. The movie is produced in partnership with the Marley family.

The film "celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity," according to a synopsis. "On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob’s powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music."

James Norton, Jesse Cilio, Sevana and Tosin Cole also star in the biopic, while Michael Gandolfini, Nadine Marshall, Anthony Welsh and Stefan A. D. Wade were cast in undisclosed roles. The drama film will open in U.S. theaters on February 14.

Meghan and Harry previously made a trip to Jamaica in 2017 to attend the wedding of the prince's friend Tom "Skippy" Inskip to Lara Hughes-Young.
