Devin Ratray will have to wait a little bit longer to get his legal issue done. The "Home Alone" star's domestic violence trial has been postponed after he was admitted to the hospital "in critical condition."
According to TMZ, the 47-year-old's family member confirmed that the actor was discharged from the hospital in New York City. He is now reportedly resting at home on doctor's orders.
It remains unclear what led to Devin's hospitalization. However, his medical issue was enough excuse to have his domestic violence trial pushed back to February. It was originally scheduled to start on Monday, January 22.
Devin has been accused of violence during an argument with his girlfriend back in December 2021. In a police report, the woman claimed the actor strangled her and put his hand over his mouth. She said she bit his hand and he punched her in the face.
The woman said she managed to escape to a stairwell. She then got her stuff and left after waiting for the cops to arrive. He, however, pleaded not guilty in the case.
In August 2022, another woman named Lisa Smith accused Devin of rape. Lisa said prosecutors told her they incorrectly believed she wanted to remain anonymous and didn't want to press charges. As a result, the case was closed before she reached out to them.
Lisa told CNN she was "devastated" that authorities failed to fully investigate her allegations when she immediately came forward. Meanwhile, she had taken steps to cooperate with the investigation, including traveling from out of state to be interviewed by investigators at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office and providing a garment she wore on the night of the alleged lawsuit for possible DNA testing.
Lisa, who said she had been friends with Devin before the alleged incident happened, claimed that the ordeal took place on September 21, 2017. Devin has not been charged in connection to Lisa's allegations and he told CNN that he "did not have sex" with the woman.
