21 Savage's 'American Dream' Debuts Atop Billboard 200 Chart

The 'Mr. Right Now' rapper has his album titled 'American Dream', which is his third studio album, surpass his 2018 set 'I Am > I Was' by 2,000 units earned.

AceShowbiz - 21 Savage has a reason to be joyful since his album titled "American Dream" makes its debut atop the Billboard 200 albums chart. In the chart dated January 27, the album earns 133,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending January 18, according to Luminate.

Billboard reports that a significant portion of the 31-year-old British-American hip-hop artist's units are from streaming activity with SEA units comprising 128,500 or equaling 169.53 million on-demand official streams of all 15 songs on the album. Meanwhile album sales comprise 4,000, and TEA units comprise 500.

The launch of "American Dream" marks 21 Savage's best week by units earned for all of his non-collaborative music projects. He surpassed his previous album titled "I Am > I Was" by 2,000 units as it earned 131,000 units back in 2018.

In addition, "American Dream" is the rapper's biggest streaming week for all of his non-collaborative projects. Its collected songs garnered 169.53 million on-demand official streams in its first week. It beat "I Am > I Was", which generated 151.87 million streams.

21 Savage released "American Dream" on January 12. Prior to the release, he only gave his fans little warning. When creating the album, he collaborated with Metro Boomin, Doja Cat, Lil Durk, Travis Scott (II), Young Thug and Summer Walker.

In the Top 10 of the new Billboard 200, "American Dream" is followed by Kali Uchis' highest-charting album ever titled "Orquideas". The album, which is her second full-length set in Spanish, lands at No. 2 as it earns 69,000 units, marking her biggest week ever.

Landing at No. 3 is Morgan Wallen's record-breaking album titled "One Thing at a Time" with 61,000 equivalent album units earned despite leading the Billboard 200 albums chart dated January 6. Drake's "For All The Dogs" follows behind, descending to No. 4 from No. 2 with 52,000 equivalent album units earned. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift's album "1989 (Taylor's Version)", which is a former leader, dips from No. 3 to No. 5 with 50,000 units.

Noah Kahan's "Stick Season" slips from No. 5 to No. 6 with 45,000 units earned. While Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2" falls from No. 4 to No. 7 with 44,000 units, Taylor's "Folklore" rises from No. 10 to No. 8 after earning 43,000 units. Moreover, SZA's "SOS" falls from No. 6 to No. 9 with 41,000 units. Similarly, Taylor's "Lover" drops from No. 8 to No. 10 with 38,000 units.
