The 'Gone Girl' actress insists she's not giving up modelling despite her desire to pursue a career as a writer after launching a podcast and releasing a book of essays.

AceShowbiz - Emily Ratajkowski is keen to start writing scripts and fiction. The model and actress, 32, who released her book of essays "My Body" in 2022, now has more time for writing as she is on a break from her podcast "High Low with EmRata".
"(The podcast) was perfect for me in the last year, because what I really love to do is write and I do like making content, but being a single mom and also a working model, and then having three episodes a week was pretty insane," she told Glamour UK.
Her Glamour profile noted she is currently writing a new book, but has remained light-lipped on its subject matter. Emily revealed about her future writing plans, "I'd like to be writing scripts; I'd like to be writing fiction."
The model said her previous writing has led to people asking her whether she had given up modelling. She added, "I feel like after I wrote my book, whenever I did an interview people would say, 'So, you're quitting modelling?' I was like, 'No, I'm not quitting modelling."
Mum-of-one Emily, who had her son Sylvester nearly three years ago with her film producer former husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, 36, also opened up about worshipping Jane Fonda due to her multiple talents.
She said when asked what she'd like her legacy to be, "I think about Jane Fonda a lot. She was a movie star, an activist, very political, and also had an exercise cardio thing – in a time when it was way worse, in the '70s and '80s, to be a multifaceted woman, but she did that really well."
"And I think that I would like to be considered one of the pioneers who said, 'You can be this, this, and this.' So that's what I want, my legacy is to be somebody who's paved the way and been an example of being a multifaceted woman, who just kind of did things the way she wanted."
