The Canadian emcee, who was sentenced to 10 years in August 2023 for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, spent a quality time with his 6-year-old son Kai after two weekends visitation.

AceShowbiz - It looks like Tory Lanez had a good start to 2024. The "Say It" rapper, who's currently behind bars after being found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, finally had the opportunity to enjoy quality time with his son at California Correctional Institution Tehachapi.

Ceasar McDowell, a member of Tory's legal team and the CEO of Unite The People, confirmed to TMZ on Saturday, January 13 that the Canadian emcee got a visit from his 6-year-old son Kai two weekends in a row. Ceasar claimed the father-and-son duo "played board games, did some drawing, and ate food out of the vending machine."

Tory and Kai reportedly spent "4-5 hours" together during each visit. They were also allowed to hug each other.

Tory was sentenced to 10 years in August 2023 for shooting Megan. This arrived after the rapper pleaded not guilty to three felony charges in December 2022, including assault with a semi-automatic firearm as well as carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

The rhymer also said in an Instagram post in August, "I have never let a hard time intimidate me. I will never let no jail time eliminate me." He continued, "Regardless of how they try to spin my words, I have always maintained my innocence and I always will. In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I'm being wrongfully convicted of."

Tory has vowed that he'll continue to fight the case. "I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do. I've faced adversity my whole life, and every time it looked like I would lose, I came out on top. This is nothing but another moment where my back is against the wall, and I refuse to stop fighting till I come out victorious. Tough times don't last, but people do," he declared.

Megan, real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, gave a victim impact statement in the case. She said, "He not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma… he tried to position himself as a victim and set out to destroy my character and my soul."
