AceShowbiz - Larsa Pippen has explained why she decided to delete her recent bikini picture that sparked controversy online. On Thursday, January 11, "The Real Housewives of Miami" star revealed that her dad was the one who made her take down the post, which saw her lounging in a skimpy bikini.
"My dad sent me a text yesterday and said, 'You published a photo and I think you need to take it down,' " the 49-year-old star divulged to PEOPLE. "And when my dad texts me stuff like that, I listen!"
The Bravolebrity went on saying that she "didn't want to upset" her dad. The former wife of Scottie Pippen also said it "wasn't worth" causing any tension between the two by keeping the sultry photo up on her feed.
During the interview, Larsa also shared how her "conservative" family saw her online persona. "I think my dad got wind of all the stuff that was being put out there," she elaborated, "My family's really traditional and old-school - I'm the one that's always pushing the envelope with them, you know?"
"They're not always happy with me. They're very conservative. They like to live very low-profile - they don't like all the hoopla," she continued. "I don't know, sometimes I feel like I shouldn't do too much because I feel like they get affected by my actions. But I also have to live my life, you know?"
Larsa deleted the picture after being slammed online as many believed it was heavily edited. In the said snap, the reality TV star could be seen wearing a black string bikini while relaxing on a lounge chair on the beach. She sat with one leg bent while the other planted in the sand.
She leaned back as she gave a seductive look to the camera. The brunette bombshell rocked a silver necklace, matching anklet and black sunglasses. "Sunshine on my mind," Larsa captioned the post.
Fans quickly noticed how flawless her skin was in the picture, prompting them to accuse Larsa of heavily editing the photo. "Holy hell photoshopped we see you in Miami, we KNOW what your body actually looks like and it's plastic crap, but go on sis!" one person noted. "Bro this soooooo edited it's sad," another person replied, with one other saying, "Airbrushing is on point."
