The former Fox News host thinks that the pop superstar was not being 'a good sport' by giving an icy glare during the comedian's monologue at the Sunday, January 7 ceremony.

AceShowbiz - Megyn Kelly is taking Jo Koy's side amid debate about his flat jokes at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards. While Taylor Swift didn't seem to be impressed by the host's jab at her romance with Travis Kelce, the journalist has blasted the Grammy winner over her reaction to Jo's joke at the Sunday, January 7 ceremony.

"Can't she just like show that she's a good sport? I think she made the wrong move," Megyn said on her SiriusXM show, adding that Jo's joke was nothing but a "gentle swipe." She, however, noted that Taylor's "not in charge with the number of times the NFL chooses to put her on cam. That's not her fault."

"It is annoying, and if she were smart, she would laugh like she was in on the joke," she said. The 53-year-old claimed had she been Taylor's "adviser," she would've recommended that the star go along with the quip to show she understood NFL's cinematography's decisions had "been a bit much." She added, "[Her facial expression] looked like 'How dare you question me and my popularity.' "

During the 81st annual event, Jo said onstage, "We came on after a football doubleheader. The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL… On the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift."

The camera then panned to capture Taylor's reaction, but she looked unamused. She let out an icy stare and took a sip of her champagne instead.

Following the live telecast, Jo explained that the joke was meant "to make fun of the NFL using cutaways and how the Globes didn't have to do that. So it was more of a jab toward the NFL. But it just didn't come out that way." He admitted that the joke was "a little flat" and "a weird joke, I guess."

In another interview, the comic insisted that the joke was meant to be a "compliment" for the global pop superstar. He told U.S. TV show "Extra", "It was a compliment, like she could be more intimate tonight, that's all."

The "Easter Sunday" star didn't seem to be too disheartened by Taylor's ostensibly unimpressed reaction either. He told Entertainment Tonight, "Aww, man, it was cute. I was just saying it was cute."
