AceShowbiz - Barry Keoghan has revealed he got only one day off filming "Saltburn" when he had his son. The 31-year-old "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" actor was overjoyed when his boy Brando, named after Hollywood icon Marlon Brando, arrived 17 months ago in August 2022 after his now ex-girlfriend Alyson Kierans gave birth while he was shooting his role as a scheming Oxford student in Emerald Fennells hit Netflix film.

He told the February issue of GQ about becoming a dad for the first time while making the drama, "They gave me a day off. Day off, and straight on to night shoots and night feedings - boom!" The "Banshees of Inisherin" actor added, "It was probably the best time of my life, to be quite fair. Having a baby boy and leading a movie. It was the best time of my life."

Barry added about constantly having his son on his mind, "I feel an enormous amount of pressure, which is good. And I can't get the little boy off my mind. Its beautiful. You know, it's crazy, but when he looks at you, you feel like the most important person in the world. That's the effect he has on me. He smiles at you and you’re like, 'Wow, you're smiling at me like that? I don't deserve that, but anyways, thanks.' "

Barry has now split from his girlfriend of three years Alyson, and confirmed it in his chat with GQ after rumors they were no longer an item were first reported in July. He told the magazine about his ex, "She's done a great job, and she's an incredible mother."

The magazine noted that in July the tabloids reported (Barry and Alyson had) split, and added he offered "nothing further" when talking about his dating life other than to praise her as a mum. A source told The Sun last year about the couple's split, "They've grown apart over recent months, and things have finally come to a head."

The publication added that Barry's "partying" had "caused arguments" with his orthodontist ex. An insider also said the pair's relationship had "suffered" following the success of the Oscar nominee's 2022 film "The Banshees of Inisherin".

Since his breakup from Alyson, Barry, who is also famed for his creepy turn alongside fellow Irishman Colin Farrell in "The Killing of a Sacred Deer", has been linked to former Disney Channel actress Sabrina Carpenter, 24, after they were photographed dining together in December. But a source has told Page Six exclusively there is "no truth" to rumors that the pair are romantically involved.

The February issue of British GQ is available via digital download and is on newsstands on 30 January.
