AceShowbiz - Mary Kay Letourneau's ex is not happy with "May December". In a new interview, Vili Fualaau slammed the movie for "ripping off" his story.

Vili got things off his chest during a sit-down with The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm still alive and well," he argued. "If they had reached out to me, we could have worked together on a masterpiece. Instead, they chose to do a ripoff of my original story."

"I'm offended by the entire project and the lack of respect given to me," Vili, who is now 40, added, "Who lived through a real story and is still living it."

Vili, however, made it clear that he doesn't mind his life being adapted for a movie as long as "writers and directors" know what they're doing. "I love movies - good movies," he said.

"And I admire ones that capture the essence and complications of real-life events," Vili further elaborated. "You know, movies that allow you to see or realize something new every time you watch them."

"Those kinds of writers and directors - someone who can do that - would be perfect to work with," he continued, "because my story is not nearly as simple as this movie [portrays]."

Vili was 12 years old when he entered a sexual relationship with his sixth-grade teacher Mary, who was 34 years old at the time. Their story has become an inspiration for the age-gap marriage between Gracie Atherton-Yoo (Julianne Moore) and Joe Yoo (Charles Melton) in the Todd Haynes-directed film.
