Brian Austin Green 'Closes the Shop' With Vasectomy After Welcoming His 5th Child

Speaking to his listeners on his podcast, the former 'Beverly Hills, 90210' star reveals that he got a vasectomy months after welcoming his son with his fiancee Sharna Burgess.

AceShowbiz - Brian Austin Green decided that it was time to "close the shop" following the arrival of his fifth child. On his "Old-ish" podcast, the former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star revealed that he got a vasectomy less than one year after welcoming his son with his fiancee Sharna Burgess.

In the Tuesday, January 2 episode of the podcast, the 50-year-old actor and his 38-year-old fiancee talked about his decision to have his tubes cut and sealed. Speaking to their listeners, she began saying, "Here's a bit of juicy information, [Brian] had a vasectomy when Zane was eight weeks old." He then explained, "Zane was born and I was like, 'I think it's time to close the shop.' "

In the podcast episode, Brian and Sharna were answering a question from one of their fans about their plan on having more kids. In response, he pointed out, "I have five kids, Sue. Who do you think you are asking a question like this?" He went on to unveil, "So, funny story. I haven't really planned for any of my kids."

Brian elaborated, "Every time it's been, 'Oh, it's OK. We can do this.' " Noting that he loves his kids and he "wasn't against any of them," he continued, "But I've never experienced that thing of looking at a pregnancy test and hoping that it's positive and preparing that way."

During the chat, Brian and Sharna declared that they agreed not to have another addition to their family at the moment. Though so, she stated, "If we do it again, I do want the experience of us planning it together, doing the pregnancy test and really being on this journey with each other. So, we would probably end up having to do IVF [in vitro fertilization]."

Elsewhere in the podcast episode, Sharna voiced her gratitude for Brian's initiative to get a vasectomy. "It was a beautiful thing that Brian did because birth control always made me feel crazy. So, I was really, really grateful for that," she shared.

The season 27 winner of "Dancing with the Stars" additionally said, "It was such a big and beautiful thing he did, and it secures comfort and no stress in our sex life; not worry about it, if we are or we aren't [pregnant], which is such a gift. And we can move forward and plan if that should be in the stars for us."

Brian and Sharna, who got engaged in July 2023, welcomed their 1-year-old son Zane in June 2022. In addition to Zane, Brian is a father to his four other kids. He shares 11-year-old Noah Shannon, 9-year-old Bodhi Ransom and 7-year-old Journey River with his former wife Megan Fox. He also has 21-year-old Kassius Lijah with his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil.
