The 50-year-old comedian, who previously sparked backlash with his 2021 comedy special 'The Closer', makes the joke while telling a story about visiting the 'Man on the Moon' set to meet Jim Carrey.

AceShowbiz - Dave Chappelle seemingly didn't learn his lesson. Despite getting backlash in the past over his transphobic remarks, the comedian continued making fun of trans people in his Netflix special, "The Dreamer".

The 50-year-old opened the set by telling a story about visiting the "Man on the Moon" set to meet Jim Carrey. "I wanted to meet Jim Carrey [who was method acting], but I had to pretend this n***a was Andy Kaufman. All afternoon," he recalled in the special, which was dropped on Sunday, December 31.

"I could look at him and I could see that he was Jim Carrey," he added. "Anyway, I say all that to say: That's how trans people make me feel."

Not stopping there, Deve also took aim at people with disabilities. "Tonight, I'm doing all handicapped jokes," he stated. "They're not as organized as the gays, and I love punching down."

The comics recounted the moment meeting former North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn, who uses a wheelchair after he was partially paralyzed in a 2014 car accident. "I just walked away," he quipped. "I wanted him to see me do something he couldn't do. I skipped."

Dave initially sparked controversy in October 2021 after the release of "The Closer". In the controversial special, he said, "Gender is a fact. Every human being in this room, every human being on earth, had to pass through the legs of a woman to be on earth. That is a fact."

"Now, I am not saying that to say trans women aren't women, I am just saying that those p***ies that they got… you know what I mean?" he continued. "I'm not saying it's not p***y, but it's Beyond P***y or Impossible P***y. It tastes like p***y, but that's not quite what it is, is it? That's not blood. That's beet juice."
