AceShowbiz - Kate Beckinsale has garnered mixed responses to her dramatic hair transformation. Shortly after showing off her new hairstyle, the "Underworld: Blood Wars" actress did not only receive positive comments but also negative ones from social media users.
In the comments sections of her Instagram posts highlighting the result of her hair makeover, a number of users showered her with praise. One in particular exclaimed, "I truly didn't think you could be more beautiful but that look is just stunning! You remind me of a classic Hollywood bombshell," adding a flame emoji.
Similarly, another gushed, "Oh my god - I screenshotted you in your last blonde post because you looked soooo beautiful. YES to blonde, YES to brunette, YES to Kate." The commenter added, "However you want to look."
Though so, Kate still faced unpleasant responses from some of other users who hinted that they preferred her previous hairstyle. One of them pointed out, "I don't even recognize her. What happened??" In the meantime, another candidly stated, "Not a fan of the blonde, but whatever."
The mixed comments came after Kate surprised her devotees with her new look. On Friday, December 8, she uploaded on her Instagram page a series of photos highlighting her latest hairstyle. In the snaps, it could be seen that she traded her brunette hair for blonde with black tresses on its upper part.
In addition, the "Underworld: Awakening" actress cut her long tresses to become a bob hairdo. In the particular photos, the shoulder-length blonde hair was let loose and styled into waves. The locks were also parted in the middle and framed her face.
One day prior, Kate debuted the new blonde hair with a different hairdo. She styled it into beach waves and parted it to the side. She also created a more voluminous look on one of its sides and let it cover nearly half part of her face.
Previously, the 50-year-old British actress' hair was mostly in a dark color despite having blonde tresses on some of its parts. The locks were long enough to reach her chest as well as upper back.
