AceShowbiz - Usher laughed off his failed attempt to serenade Mary J. Blige. During his performance at his final Las Vegas residency show, the "Love in This Club" singer could not help but burst into laughter after seeing the "Family Affair" songstress' hilarious reaction to him singing his song titled "There Goes My Baby" to her.

On Saturday night, December 2, the 45-year-old was entertaining concertgoers, including 52-year-old Mary, with the well-known track. In a video circulating online via X, formerly known as Twitter, he was documented approaching her, who was sitting on her seat, before he tried to get closer to her.

However, Mary appeared to have distanced herself from Usher by moving her body farther away from him. He then was filmed placing one of his hands on her lower thigh before she softly pushed his hand away and pretended to wrestle. In the meantime, she was apparently blushing and laughing.

Trying harder, Usher could be seen putting both of his hands on Mary's face and leaned closer to her. The two could not hold themselves but laugh before he moved back and sat down. While standing up and looking at her, he exclaimed, "I love you, Mary! I love you." He went on to ask, "I'm sweating, huh?" as he wiped his face with what appeared to be a black hat.

Later on, the "You Make Me Wanna..." singer and the "You Remind Me" songstress were seen sharing a sweet and friendly hug, prompting other concertgoers to cheer and clap their hands. He was then filmed walking to the center of the stage.

It did not take long for the tweet to be flooded with mixed responses from X users. In the replies section, one in particular reminded Usher, "[He] should know better grabbing a woman's face. Knowing that she got makeup on, she's nice and pretty. That was a dumb move with Mary j. Blige."

While making a reference to Mary's role on "Power Book II: Ghost", another stated, "She still stuck in Monet Tejada character lol." A third penned, "He just basically forced him way onto the queen of r&b." Meanwhile, a fourth wrote, "She wasn't trying to catch that herpes."

During the final show, Usher was also filmed getting emotional while being surrounded by his dancers on the stage. The gig was attended by a number of famous stars. In addition to Mary, singer H.E.R. and model Chanel Iman were spotted at the concert.
